The Village's Association

To Our Public:

While the purpose of this page is the encouragement of Association business memberships, you too might appreciate seeing the group's achievements and goals.

Lindsay Park public art, by the Mississippi River, south of River Drive.

You are important to us: In this era of "big box" stores and malls, the Village businesses believe that they can offer you different, more attractive shopping and service experiences. Small businesses in rural towns and in urban neighborhoods have a special challenge within today's economics, but they offer service, friendliness, and environment that are difficult for the large-parking-lot guys to duplicate.

So, our Association invites you to become a Village "regular" in ways such as:

  • Attending our events
  • Shopping with us and getting to know the owners and personnel
  • Walking for your health through the beauty of our streets and the park (and waving to us!)
  • Introducing your friends to our way of life
  • Using our many services
  • Stopping by for lunch or refreshment

The old firehouse--Hose Co #4--is now a fire museum.s Help us preserve something special that shouldn't be lost in society today—the independent small businesses whose owners find it important to operate within a tradition that deserves to last.
