Come celebrate Easter with the 3rd Annual EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE 5K RUN on Saturday, March 30, 2016. The start/finish will be in The Historic Village of East Davenport, Iowa, where you will run through Scenic Parks that overlook The Mighty Mississippi River.

Kids 1/2 mile race for all kids up to age 12!! Free admittance into Easter Egg Hunt! Every child will receive a finishers medal.

Village in Bloom: Festival of the Arts

Sunday, May 07, 2016:

Celebrate the creative lives of John & Isabel Bloom with the Village in Bloom Festival of the Arts.

The Festival will feature the fine art and performance art of area school children.

A call for entries is available for art teachers and directors for the following fine art and performance art categories:

• Art classes are invited to exhibit nature sculptures that reflect the regionalist movement that Isabel and John represented.

Students will be asked to sculpt backyard animals primarily using locally available recycled materials.

• Performance groups are invited to showcase their talents as singers, instrumentalists, puppeteers, dancers and actors.

Performance venues will include an outdoor stage, indoor theater, corner park, and the historic East Village Fire Station.

In addition to the students' performance and fine arts exhibits, the festival will feature exhibits of Isabel and John Bloom's art, children's art-making classes and many other activities.

May 30, 2016: The 51st Annual Quad Cities Criterium

The 49th Annual Quad Cities Criterium

Monday, May 30, 2016:

The Quad Cities Criterium, contested each year on Memorial Day will be held for the 3rd year on a challenging and exciting course in the Village of East Davenport. This setting gives cyclists and fans alike a great day of racing and fun. 2016 marks the 51st running of the QCC and will be an extra-spectacular event

The course start/finish line will be located in the heart of the Village business district on 11th Street ascending into the hills of McClellan Heights before plunging back down 12th Street to the finish for a total distance of ¾'s of a mile. Criterium race director Tom Schuler stressed that "cyclists are always looking for hilly, challenging courses that test their strength and endurance and this will be a very tough and exciting venue as we approach the 51st anniversary of the event".

Who: Over 650 cyclists from across the U.S., Canada, and Europe
What: 12 Criterium bicycle races, Kids Race presented by Koehler Electric, Kids play area

• Kids Play area with bouncy house will be available sponsored by the Village Business Association
• Kids races right before the Pro Men's Race presented by Koehler Electric

The Quad Cities Criterium is proud to announce its partnership with the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation to help raise awareness and support for the NPCF mission of serving patients with pancreatic cancer and their families. All profits from this year's race will be donated to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

August 13, 2016: Village of East Davenport Wine Walk

Raising Dollars and a Glass to Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities!

This event is a fundraiser for Gilda's Club of the QCA.
Admission is a donation to Gilda's Club.
Wrist bands are required.

• Saturday, August 13, 2016: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Gilda's Club volunteers will be manning two tents on 11th Street. Start there to receive a wrist band and a map of participating businesses with a $10/person donation to Gilda's Club. All participating businesses will offer a 1 oz sample of their featured wine. Please "Go Green" and bring your own wine glass. You will still get just a sample but we will eliminate a huge amount of plastic tasting cup trash. Sip, shop, and enjoy. Sip, sip, hurray for Gilda's Club

    Quad Cities Premier Craft Music, Beer And Food Festival

    The 1st Annual East Fest is the Quad Cities' first and only festival dedicated to celebrating craft music, craft beer and food of the midwest, held on the Mississippi River in the Village of East Davenport. Projected to have over 3,000 attendees, the event will feature 10 folk musicians including the Anderson East, children's rides, bounce house, "best of" contests, and dozens of vendors.

Mid­Coast Fine Arts',  Riverssance Festival of Fine Art is celebrating its 26th year as the premier fine arts festival of the Quad Cities, showcasing roughly 100 of the top artists from throughout North America.

Riverssance is known through­out the Mid­west for its high qual­ity fine art, beautiful outdoor setting and its unique blend of delight­ful enter­tain­ment and deli­cious food & wine.  The Riverssance Festival is MidCoast Fine Arts primary fundraiser and is the means by which we work on keep­ing the arts in the Quad Cities.

Fire truck and emergency vehicle parade starts at Modern Woodman Park at 11:30 and should be circling the Village about noon. Great entertainment for the kids. Learn about fire safety, see Sparky the fire dog and enjoy all of the antique fire trucks.
